A City under a Glass Dome

Mall of the Emirates defines the larger than life attitude towards nature in this corner of world.

Architecture recreates life against the natural conditions given to this latitude of the planet.

A sky slope al fresco bars and restaurant and a shopping mall are all staying under a Grand Palais’ style glass dome recreating an urban space and an interactive social culture typical of historic centers of European cities. An alley recreate the human size dimension of the ancient urban street including the asymmetric corners and the irregular lining up typical of facades built up in different times.

TAI'O ( the real face of Hong Kong) vs Tipping Point

Situated on the far western edge of the island, Tai O is a real insight into Hong Kong’s humble beginnings. Fishermen houses were once a common sight throughout Hong Kong, but only those of Tai O have been preserved on such a large scale. Much of Tai O’s timeless appeal lies in the fact that it feels a million miles away from the lightning pace of urban Hong Kong. This 300 year old fishing village is regarded as a pearl of heritage as the rest of Hong Kong is mostly made of skyscraper canyons filled with a never-ending stream of vehicular traffic.
